Layer 6: Soft Kill (Electronic Mitigation)
GNSS/RC Jamming its interference on control/navigation frequencies, range 500m-3km.
✅ Reversible, low damage risk
❌ Affects friendly drones; illegal in many civilian areas Protocol Spoofing- fake commands via protocol weaknesses.
✅ Can redirect or land a UAV
❌ Needs target protocol knowledge
Reality: Works best when you control spectrum.
In contested RF: "who jams whom first".

Layer 7: Hard Kill (Physical Neutralization)
Kinetic Interceptors - net guns, interceptor drones, traditional air defense.
✅ Final neutralization
❌ Expensive, debris risk, needs precise tracking Directed Energy - focused laser/microwave disables electronics.
✅ Speed of light, low cost per shot
❌ Power-hungry, weather-sensitive, line of sight
Reality: Last resort - irreversible, legally complex.

Layer 8: C2 Integration
Sensors + effectors + operators must talk in real time. At SpearX: unified C2 interface, automated playbooks, human-in-the-loop gates, audit trails.
Reality: The best CUAS fails if the operator cannot trust it. UX is a security feature.

Layer 9: Testing
Lab ≠ field. We validate in 3 stages: Controlled Range → Semi-Operational Field → Operational Deployment.
Key metrics: detection-to-decision < 3s, false positives < 1/24h, operator workload tracking.

Our Principle:
Mitigation is a decision pipeline: detection→classification→response, with clear gates and human oversight. Wrong target or slow response = worse than no system.

Key Insight:
CUAS is about trust: sensors, algorithms, operators, commanders. Technology enables. Doctrine decides success.
